Nearby, a Trellis, Green Wall Planters, and Half Pizza Gardens invite children to learn about horticulture. The space includes two shade structures (in the images above, the fabric was removed from the shade frame to keep the fabric in top shape during wintery, snowy months) to help protect children and staff from the sun and create more comfortable play and learning conditions throughout the day. Due to wintery weather forecasted for the area, the shade fabrics were proactively removed. This preventative step helps protect the fabric and structural integrity of the shades from potential damage caused by extreme weather. Once conditions improve, the shade fabric can be reinstalled so children can continue to enjoy the space comfortably and safely.
