McKinley Montessori is a preschool program located in Sacramento, California. It helps children adjust to a school atmosphere before starting elementary school. The school has two cozy homes that serve as classrooms, while still providing children with an excellent academic foundation. It offers two programs for children between 2-3 years and 3-6 years of age: the transition program and the preschool/kindergarten program. To ensure that children develop socialization skills and have a fun play experience, McKinley Montessori Schools partnered with Grounds For Play to create an ideal playground.
Grounds For Play installed a recycled playground that is small but filled with fun and excitement. The playground has three shades, two of which are built directly into the playground, and the third one is uniquely shaped and installed into the ground. These shades protect children from harmful UV rays while they play. The playground also has an open green space for children to run around in, and several turfs were added to create a colorful and grassy play area free of woodchips. Additionally, there is a sandy area where children can play. The playground also has benches installed on one side to provide teachers and staff with a place to relax while watching over the children. Overall, this was the ideal play structure to fit the needs of McKinley Montessori Schools as they provide children with exceptional foundational skills for their futures.
