Welcome to Pearland's Independence Park, located in Pearland, Texas! This park has undergone renovations to enhance the experience of residents and visitors alike. The new additions include an amphitheater, a covered stage, improvements to the existing pavilion, landscaping upgrades, and a reorientation of the park entrance. These changes have transformed Independence Park into a fun and inviting space for all to enjoy. The vast open areas of Independence Park can accommodate a range of public and private special events, from casual outings with the kids to large festivals and markets. Visitors can stay active and relax with family and friends thanks to the ample shaded and green space available.
Independence Park turned to Grounds For Play to replace and relocate their previous playground. The new playground is made from recycled materials and features integrated shades and roofs to maximize coverage. The wooden theme of the playground blends seamlessly with the natural surroundings, and tree stump play components have been added as stairs to enter a part of the playground. This large playground has numerous play panels, slides, climbers, overhead ladders, and swings to accommodate many children at once. There is also an interesting sand pit surrounded by large rocks, and five bays of swings to cater to different needs. With infant bucket seats, inclusive swing seats, regular belt seats, and a tire-like swing design, all children can be included during playtime.
