Plaza de la Raza Child Development Services strives to provide children with a positive learning environment that helps to enrich their growth and development. They offer program options for head start and preschool to help children prepare for kindergarten. With locations throughout California, the school in Downey worked with Grounds For Play to create an outdoor play environment that coincides with their mission.

The outdoor playground features an art area, musical instruments, play structure, sandbox, dramatic playhouse, traffic signs, play panels at ground level, and lots of storage. This play environment was designed to give children of all abilities a fun and safe space to play, learn, and explore.
