Playground Design Consultant

Several new design consultants are needed in key regions across the country: Las Vegas, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Nebraska, Kansas, Minnesota, Nevada, Kentucky North Dakota, South Dakota, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, and Missouri. Design Consultants are full-time positions responsible for understanding the needs of our clients, analyzing the options available, and designing the best solutions. Design Consultants establish leads by speaking at trade shows and conferences, through their personal networks, and by maximizing the leads generated through corporate marketing. Some travel is required.

Major responsibilities:
  1. Secure new playground sales and installations by representing Grounds For Play equipment and products in a specific geographic territory
  2. Contact a wide variety of decision-makers to discuss playground requirements
  3. Understand customer objectives, space requirements, and design preferences
  4. Create custom playground designs and proposals to meet customer needs
  5. Speak at conferences and trade shows to educate potential customers
  6. Maintain customer relationships, seek referrals and additional contracts
Skills/qualifications:
  1. Self-starter with ability to work independently
  2. Ethical and honest business practices
  3. Background in early childhood education, child development, architecture, design, or representing playground equipment is desirable
  4. Creative problem-solver
  5. Ability to envision the potential of a play environment
  6. Excellent interpersonal communication skills and a willingness to meet new people
  7. Sales experience desirable
